Beginner Lower Stomach Exercises That Anyone Can Do

Unfortunately, we cannot decide where we lose weight on our bodies, and belly fat tends to be much harder to lose than fat around other body parts. It can be frustrating and tends to leave most people unmotivated to continue.

Nevertheless, you can lose fat in the stomach region with the correct exercises to promote overall weight loss. It can be done with cardio workouts that burn many calories, causing the fat deposits in your body to deplete, reducing your overall body fat, and diminishing the unwanted belly fat in the process.

The exercises that best promote fat burn involve using multiple muscles and those that increase your heart rate—movements such as burpees, jump squats, stair climbing, running, etc. These are pretty difficult for most, but don't worry; we have a batch of beginner lower abs workouts that will get the job done just as well.

But before we go into that, let's dive into what's needed to burn fat.

How To Burn Body Fat

As mentioned before, cardio exercises are the best way to burn fat. But, it can also be coupled with something else to make the process more efficient.

That would be dieting at a caloric deficit. We understand the term dieting strikes annoyance or fear easily. Eating is the greatest pleasure in life, so placing limitations on it seems like a nightmare. Yet, a calorie deficit is just consuming fewer calories than needed to maintain your current body weight.

The only limitation in a caloric deficit is in the term itself; you're supposed to cut down on the number of calories you consume. That doesn't mean you eat different food, per se; you're just supposed to eat fewer calories.

Therefore, if you eat fewer calorie-defense foods, you can still eat the same amount of meals and portions, but you'll be burning fat simultaneously. Supermarkets are now full of fat-free, light alternatives that taste just as good as their counterparts, making caloric deficits easy to do.

A pound of fat equals roughly 3000-4000 calories, meaning that if you eat 500 fewer calories per day, you will burn a pound of fat per week. Nutritionists tend to recommend that you burn a maximum of 2 pounds of fat per week to not go into rapid-weight loss.

It's important to note that once you've reached the desired weight and fat loss, you should eat the number of calories necessary to maintain your current weight.
