Dr. Suissa is a highly trained plastic surgeon who was educated at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, with additional fellowship training at Yale University.

During his extensive education, Dr. Suissa was trained to combine aesthetic and reconstructive principles, emphasizing the final cosmetic outcome particularly in complex cases of cancer and trauma. He excelled in the Canadian Plastic Surgery Board and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons. To further hone his skills, Dr. Suissa completed an aesthetic fellowship at University of Toronto, one of the top 20 medical programs in the world where he was trained by some of the best aesthetic plastic surgeons. He further ultra-specialized in breast surgery at Yale University, where he was appointed Clinical Instructor with clinical privileges at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Dr. Suissa’s cutting edge breast and body specialization puts him at the forefront of the latest techniques, for which he developed the skills to evaluate their safety and effectiveness. Using his Master’s degree training in Clinical Epidemiology at McGill, he has conducted and authored important scientific research published in top journals. He also recently authored a book chapter in the upcoming fourth edition of Plastic Surgery, the reference textbook in the field of plastic surgery. The chapter entitled “Fillers”, for the Aesthetic Surgery volume, describes the latest cutting-edge techniques and safe practices on the use of aesthetic fillers in the face and hands. In addition, Dr Suissa is continuously evaluating the quality of the published literature in his field. This skillset in research methods has made him a much sought after reviewer for scientific journals, including the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal.

Dr. Suissa is recognized for his objective and warmhearted approach to clinical practice. He believes in safe, consistent, natural looking results. His continuous research, reading, studying, and refining of his techniques permits him to provide the best for his patients. Dr. Suissa has had many passions over the years, including chess and sculpture.
