E! News: Brittany Cartwright Admits She Got This Cosmetic Procedure Before Divorcing Jax Taylor
Brittany Cartwright is embracing a new look and a new era.
One month after her split from ex-husband Jax Taylor, the 35-year-old shared that she added a little more confidence to her new chapter with the help of AirSculpt, a body contouring treatment that permanently removes fat and tightens skin in targeted areas of the body, earlier this year.
“Yeah, you can say I wanted a revenge body,” Britanny told DailyMail.com. “I wanted to look good after everything I’ve been through this year. I want to look my very best. I wanted to get my sparkle back.”
As for whether the procedure achieved the desired results? Brittany added, “I am feeling great these days.”
In August, the Vanderpump Rules alum filed for divorce from Jax after five years of marriage citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’ She also sought primary legal and physical custody of their 3-year-old son, Cruz, in the filing, and requested that Jax be granted visitation.
In fact, Brittany’s motherhood journey is also part of the reason she wanted to try the procedure—which took one session in May—and why she chose to target her stomach.
"The work was done on my stomach,” she said. “I wanted some help with contouring on my lower abdomen because after I had my son Cruz, my stomach was just never the same. Now I am smaller and I feel great about it.”
After going through with the procedure and getting her “revenge body,” Brittany said that she is now focused on doing the additional work to move on following her divorce.
“I’m working on myself because I need to heal,” she explained. “To be honest with you I thought I would be with Jax forever, so this is so new for me. It is taking some time to heal and move on.”
Brittany also previously provided insight about the deterioration of her marriage and her decision to file for divorce, which coincided with the premiere of the new reality show The Valley, on which both she and Jax star.
"Many have said online they think this has been a publicity stunt for the show or to garner ratings, and it's the furthest thing from that," Brittany said on the Aug. 30 episode of her and Jax’s When Reality Hits podcast. "My decision to file wasn't made lightly or quickly."
She continued, "It's taken me many, many years to get to this point where I've gained enough courage to strength to do what was best for me, get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth. It's been very difficult, but I'm stronger than ever and my motivation is my son, my Cruisey, who deserves a happy and healthy mommy."
