Dr. Fernando Ovalle Jr. is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. His dedication to his craft is only exceeded by his commitment to a personalized patient experience. He is devoted to personable, compassionate care, using his expert surgical skills to help patients achieve their aesthetic goals.

As someone with an artistic eye and scientific mind, Dr. Ovalle found plastic surgery to be the perfect specialty. After medical school at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Ovalle completed a highly selective residency training program in Integrated Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, where he served as administrative Chief Resident and was awarded achievement for the highest in-service training exam score. During his career, Dr. Ovalle has presented at numerous local, regional, and national conferences and has published in multiple medical journals and textbook chapters. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Aesthetic Society, and has undergone additional certification in High-Resolution Ultrasound in Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Ovalle loves all plastic surgery but has a special interest in breast and body contouring and the use of autologous fat grafting. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and young children, cooking, exploring the outdoors, and staying active.
