Comparing Hip Enhancement Fat Transfers and Implants

Hips dip, sometimes known as violin hips, refers to the inward curve or indentation on the sides of the body below the hip bone and above the thigh.
Technically known as trochanteric depression, these indentations on your sides are a completely normal part of a woman's anatomy. They can be more or less noticeable depending on the amount of fat and muscle in the area.
Since hip dips are created by the shape of the pelvis and bone structure, it's impossible to get rid of them through natural means.
The most common reason people opt for hip augmentation procedures is to eliminate these hip dips.
There are several ways to do so, but we're going to focus on fat transfer and implants for this article.
Fat Transfer for Hip Dips
Also known as fat grafting, it's clear to the cosmetic community that it's one of the most popular and effective options. While it tends to be combined with other procedures, such as a Brazilian butt lift, the augmentation is commonly performed independently.
Fat cells are extracted from one part of your body and injected into the hip region between the love handles and upper thighs to define your curves and fill out the unwanted hip dips.
The fat is harvested with liposuction. Common areas to harvest fat are the stomach, thighs, and arms. One advantage of a fat transfer for hip dips is that they require a small amount of fat compared to butt lifts, meaning even skinnier patients can receive them.
Hip Dip Implants
Cosmetic hip implants are made of semisolid silicone, similar to breast implants. These implants guarantee consistency of volume and can serve as a lasting solution.
While they're not specifically made for hip dips, they can get the job done. But if your motive is to have significantly wider hips or if you are quite thin and have almost no excess fat to harvest, this procedure is best for you.
Given that implants are a surgical procedure, you do have to be aware of the risks. You'll be put under general anesthesia and have several weeks to recover. Other hazards include bleeding, implant movement, and infection.
AirSculpt® Provides The Ideal Hip Enhancement
If you are still weighing the merits between a traditional liposuction-based fat transfer and hip implants, AirSculpt® provides the best alternative instead.
The AirSculpt® Hip Flip™ is a minimally invasive fat transfer that provides dramatic and permanent results without many of the risky characteristics of invasive surgery like implants or traditional liposuction.
Advanced AirSculpt® technology doesn't use a scalpel, needle, stitches, or general anesthesia to sculpt your hips finely. Fat is removed from an area using our robotic, rapidly spinning AirSculpt® cannula that plucks fat cells one by one through tiny entry points just two millimeters wide.
Because less fat is required for a Hip Flip™ than a BBL, even skinny patients can get this treatment. The precise nature of AirSculpt® allows us to harvest fat from several areas seamlessly if needed, a significant advantage over traditional liposuction, which is often too harsh to target several regions at once.
Once treated, some of the fat removed is injected strategically into the region between the love handles and upper thighs to sculpt a nicely contoured figure. Patients are back at their daily routines within one to two days, enjoying already apparent results that continue to improve each day.
