Will Thigh Liposuction or a Lift Help Make My Legs Slimmer?

Everyone has an idea of how they would like their body to look. No matter what part of the body you think of, there's likely an excellent view of what you'd like it to look like.

That said, several people are not satisfied with the appearance of their legs. Some may find them too large and wonder if there are any ways to make them thinner and more aesthetic.

Surgery can resolve these issues. Body contouring treatments can help create thinner and leaner legs by specifically removing fat from the thighs and calves.

There are two commonly performed surgeries for thinner legs: liposuction and thigh lifts.

Liposuction is a procedure for patients who want to treat the excess fat surrounding their legs, while a thigh lift primarily deals with loose skin and creates a smoother aesthetic.

You should consult with your doctor to determine the best route to consider.

Liposuction

Will liposuction make my thighs smaller? Liposuction is a common choice if you want to remove excess fat from your legs. Effective liposuction is determined by three factors: the amount of fat that can be removed without causing complications, the length of your legs, and the quality of your skin.

The more elastic your skin is, the better it can retract around your new leg contour. Liposuction works well on most body parts, including the thighs, buttocks, calves, knees, and ankles.

However, not everyone is a suitable candidate for liposuction. If you're overweight or have undergone significant weight loss and have produced a lot of loose skin, a thigh lift would be the recommended procedure for you.

Thigh Lift

Thigh lifts aim to make your thighs thinner and give you a more sculpted shape. The process reshapes your thighs, removing the extra skin, which is an ideal option for those with significant weight loss.

Liposuction is a procedure that isn't designed to deal with excess, loose skin. Therefore, a thigh lift is a better solution for patients within a healthier weight range but have loose skin that needs to be dealt with.

Elite Body Sculpture's Thigh Slimming Solution

Instead of opting for a more invasive thigh lift or liposuction, we recommend first going for the minimally invasive thigh contouring procedures at Elite Body Sculpture.

Their Front Thigh AirSculpt® avoids the painful tools used during lifts and traditional liposuction, like scalpels, stitches, needles, and general anesthesia, while still providing patients significant and aesthetic results. AirSculpt always leaves the treated area's skin tighter, so patients can lose stubborn fat and experience improved elasticity.
