AirSculpt® technology resides at the forefront of body contouring techniques, allowing patients around North America and Europe to sculpt their body's ideal aesthetic with a precision-engineered fat removal procedure.

AirSculpt® started with Dr. Aaron Rollins, a well-established cosmetic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California, who patented the technology in 2012. AirSculpt® is a minimally invasive fat removal method that can also be used to transfer fat to the hands, hips, breasts, or buttocks.

AirSculpt® has also widened its reach within the cosmetic space, recently introducing new cellulite removal and skin tightening treatments in addition to its traditional fat-focused offerings.

How Does AirSculpt® Work?

AirSculpt® procedures are groundbreaking in the cosmetic fat removal indsutry, allowing for significant changes without highly invasive surgical techniques. Its focus is providing high-quality results for patients interested in achieving their ideal aesthetic.

What do we mean by no use of invasive surgical techniques? While traditional liposuction uses scalpels, stitches, needles, drains, and sometimes general anesthesia to remove fat, AirSculpt® does not. It instead uses patented tools that serve as less invasive alternatives during the fat removal process.

For example, we use local anesthesia instead of general anesthesia, reducing risks and allowing patients to remain fully awake! We use a patented device called an AirPen that uses air pressure differentials to numb the skin without a needle.

Then, instead of a scalpel, the AirSculpt® surgeon uses a biopsy punch to form a two-millimeter circular opening that is ideal for fat removal. Not only does it avoid creating a large scar, but the entry point is so tiny it can be left to heal naturally, meaning no stitches are needed.

What also makes AirSculpt® procedures so unique is its patented cannula. Traditional liposuction uses a cannula that requires a manual, abrasive movement to separate the fat from the body. The AirSculpt® cannula instead has a mechanical motion, cycling rapidly back and forth. This design allows surgeons to precisely pluck fat from the body without affecting the surrounding areas.

This technological advancement can sculpt notable changes to your body without introducing risks associated with traditional liposuction procedures.
