Austin Back AirSculpt®

Everything You Need to Know About Removing Back Fat With AirSculpt

steph before and after

Back AirSculpt® is a cosmetic procedure commonly requested by patients who want stubborn fat pockets permanently removed from their back area. Back fat is prevalent in both men and women, and it's generally resistant in even those who have committed themselves to a healthy diet and exercise.

Back fat can also form bra rolls and is significantly noticeable when women wear a bra or when men wear tight-fitting trousers. Excessive fat in this region can decrease a person's self-confidence, causing them to restrict themselves from wearing certain types of clothing, such as fitted shirts or tops.

Back AirSculpt® is a highly effective solution for this increasingly common issue. The procedure precisely targets and removes diet-resistant fat using a mechanical device that spins at 1,000 cycles per minute, ensuring an accurate and safe extraction. AirSculpt® procedures are minimally invasive, meaning they do not require the patient to be sedated under general anesthesia or use abrasive instrumentation.

How Does Back AirSculpt® Compare With Lipo?

The most effective and permanent method of removing unwanted fat pockets from the back is with AirSculpt®. Traditional liposuction can remove large amounts of fat but does so with minimal finesse. It is considered less efficient due to its extensive downtime, need for general anesthesia, loose skin left afterward, and painful recovery due to the large incisions made.

By contrast, Back AirSculpt® does not require scalpels, stitches, needles, or general anesthesia, significantly minimizing downsides such as excessive bruising or swelling in traditional procedures.

Instead of a linear scalpel cut, we use a biopsy punch to form a perfectly symmetrical opening from which back fat can be extracted.

Back AirSculpt Entry Points

The entryway is just two millimeters wide, so it can be naturally left to heal, and no stitches are needed. All that's left at worst is a mark that can be easily mistaken for a freckle.

As you can see in the image above, for an upper back and back bra roll treatment, the entry points are made in easily concealable regions under the armpits and in the waist creases. The second image shows where the entry point would be made if you also target lower back or tailbone fat. Finally, for a buffalo hump, not to be mistaken with a dorsocervical fat pad, one entry point would be made directly in the upper back and neck area.

Back AirSculpt® Can Also Be Combined With Our Other Treatments

One of the essential features of Back AirSculpt® is that you're awake during the process. Our procedure follows the principle of 360 fat removal, meaning it can provide a complete degree of coverage to treat several body areas holistically.

Patients who have fat removed from their back can use it for our AirSculpt® Fat Transfers, which means that it's harvested to be injected into areas such as the breasts or buttocks to provide natural volume and shape enhancement.

If excess fat isn't the only problem, and you're dealing with loose skin, that doesn't mean you have to opt for an invasive backlift procedure. All AirSculpt® procedures have an AirSculpt® + add-on option. Renuvion technology is applied through the same entry points as the fat removal procedure to instantly contract the surrounding skin with plasma energy derived from helium gas and radiofrequency waves.

In under 20 minutes, rapid collagen production can provide your back with smoother, toned skin.
